NYSUT endorses pro-public education, pro-labor candidates in Nov. 3 elections

s we approach the 2026 midterm elections, dozens of pro-public education, pro-labor candidates have earned NYSUT’s support.

“NYSUT members know the importance of having elected officials who deliver for our public schools and middle class families,” said NYSUT President Melinda Person. “That principle has guided our rigorous endorsement process for this election.”

NYSUT’s endorsement process begins at the local level and final decisions on endorsements are made by the Board of Directors.

For statewide offices, NYSUT has endorsed Kathy Hochul for Governor, Letitia James for Attorney General, and Thomas P. DiNapoli for State Comptroller.
