NYSUT Members: Are you using these free benefits?

NYSUT Member Benefits has negotiated with its endorsed program providers to provide several quality benefits at no cost to the NYSUT membership. 1. Calm App (Premium Subscription) — All NYSUT in-service and retiree members enjoy unlimited access to the popular Calm app’s full library of sleep, meditation and relaxation content. Calm offers a variety of tools to assist with your physical and mental wellness. Members can add up to five dependents (age 16 or older) to receive their own premium Calm subscription.
2. Peer Support Line— Whether you’re dealing with a specific stressor in your life or just want to speak with a supportive and empathetic voice, this helpful resource is available to all members and their loved ones. This confidential helpline is staffed by trained in-service and retired individuals who truly care. Call toll-free 844-444-0152 to connect with a peer today.

3. Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance — All in-service and retiree members are automatically provided with a $5,000 accidental death & dismemberment insurance benefit through Chubb Group Insurance Companies.
4. Travel Assistance Services — All members are eligible to utilize travel assistance services from AXA Assistance that focus on providing coordination services to travelers.
5. New Member Life Insurance — Protect those you care about most with a term life insurance policy providing coverage for up to $25,000 for one year at no cost, guaranteed renewable at the end of the year (available to new NYSUT members only; NYSUT membership must be maintained through your local).

6. Credit & Debt Assistance — Like so many Americans, are you dealing with credit or debt issues? All members receive a no-obligation debt consultation with a Cambridge Credit Counseling certified counselor. Members can speak with a Cambridge loan counselor, attend a NYSUT Student Loan Workshop or visit the Cambridge Student Loan Portal to learn the best ways to become debt-free.
7. Financial Learning Center — This online platform (powered by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance) offers new articles each month designed to help members achieve their personal financial goals and better understand the nuances of insurance, savings, investing and more.
