Under the theme “SRPs Rising to the Challenge,” the conference features a host of workshops and sessions that benefit members in their personal and professionals lives.

“We encourage local leaders to sponsor some of your emerging or veteran SRP leaders to attend this inspiring conference,” said NYSUT Second Vice President Ron Gross, whose office coordinates initiatives for SRPs.

  • Personal Financial Management: Mastering Smart Money Moves — This seminar will cover the fundamentals of credit scores, the impact that credit and debt will have on your life, and the tools that can help you manage your student loans.
  • Equity and Autism in Schools — This seminar will provide SRPs an opportunity to share their experiences working with students with autism and offer practical tips to foster a supportive and equitable experience.

Nov. 21 is NYS SRP Recognition Day

This year marks 16 years since advocacy by NYSUT staff and members resulted in a permanent SRP Recognition Day. The hard work and dedication of SRPs are integral to making New York public schools among the best in the nation.

Show your appreciation to the classroom educators, safety support staff, members responsible for feeding thousands of students, those who safely transport students to and from school, who maintain school grounds and facilities and the clerical workers who run our school offices. Download celebration materials at nysut.org/SRPday and be sure to tag @nysut on social media.
